Canvas Artist Talks take place on selected Mondays in Shimo-Kitazawa. Happening on a regular basis, they are informal meetings where artists get together to discuss art and ideas. If you are just starting out in the Tokyo art world or if you have been making art here for decades, you are welcome to join us. But it isn’t only artists who are invited, all Canvas creatives are welcome to sit in.
This time, the guest artists are Caitlyn Doran, Reina Ko, Jan Vranovský and Timo Wright. There's a wide range of media to see - painting, drawing, photography, video, and more - as well as it being a chance to meet and ask the artists questions. Doors open from 7pm. Talks start from 7:30. The only cost is the price of your drink.
What can I expect?
Four guest artists give short talks, followed by a few questions from the room.
When do Canvas Artist Talks happen?
