Canvas Artist Talks take place on selected Mondays. They are informal meetings where artists get together to discuss art and ideas.
If you are just starting out in the Tokyo art world or if you have been making art here for decades, you are welcome to join us. But it isn’t only artists who are invited, all Canvas creatives are welcome to sit in.
At each event, four guest artists give short talks before a quick Q & A. For this event, the guest artists are Kris Cerneka, Dorothy Melander-Dayton, Jaime Humphreys, and Olivia Lacey.
For the second time, we've teamed up with 3331 Arts Chiyoda and will be joined by two artists who are currently participating in the Artist-In-Residence program, Dorothy Melander-Dayton and Olivia Lacey.
As usual, a wide range of media is on show. Kris Cerneka is a filmmaker, Melander-Dayton is a performance artist, Jaime Humphreys installs artworks and works with the landscape, and Olivia Lacey works across audio, text and installation art.
And of course it's a good chance to meet the artists and other creatives.
Doors open from 7pm. Talks start from 7:30.
